My Burzenland lady, a light
I am, and a wound and a heart
I’d send you a letter to see
How poisons with such joy and glee
Inside my wine cup now they blend,
My lady from far Burzenland.
From dreams that arise at dawn hours
I surely would send you black flowers
If I didn’t fear you’d show up
My gift, within everyone’s grasp
So be it, just hiding in shadows.
Their wonder, so somber and plenteous
Will grow under whimsical star.
